Sixth Form Have a New Business!

Read about sixth form's new business venture, Nailed It!

Hi everyone! We’re the sixth form young people at Willow Dene School, and we have got something exciting to share! Our brand new business venture called, Nailed-IT!

Nailed-IT is all about woodwork, DIY, and maintenance. Every Monday to Wednesday, we roll up our sleeves and get stuck in, learning new skills and creating amazing products. It’s not just about making things, it is also about building confidence, independence, and teamwork.

Over the past few weeks, we have been learning how to use lots of different tools safely and effectively. From screwdrivers to sanding blocks, saws, and even different types of glue, we’ve discovered how each tool works and what it can do. These activities have helped us develop our fine motor control and hand-eye coordination, which are really important skills for everyday life.

But that is not all! We have also been working towards our AQA units, which include keeping our local community clean. We’ve been out litter picking, making sure our environment looks great for everyone. It feels good to make a difference.

The best part? We’ve been creating beautiful wooden products that we will be selling during school events. Our handcrafted decorations are made with care and pride. We cannot wait for you to see what we have made!

Nailed-IT is not just a business, it is a chance for us to learn, grow, and show what we can do. Every day, we are proving that with the right tools and support, we can achieve amazing things.

When you buy from Nailed-IT, you’re not just getting a great product, you are supporting our journey and helping us build even better products for the future.
