Wellbeing and Essential Skills

Willow Dene children have been busy participating in activities during our Wellbeing and Essential Skills Power Day.

Swingate Lane and Oakmere road have been participating in a range of activities during our Wellbeing and Essential Skills Power Day!

Some of the activities on offer included:

We enjoyed a Wilderness Workout in our forest school area including balancing on a plank, a tug of war and of course a bit of mud painting.

We enjoyed all the wellbeing benefits of being outside in nature, while doing a bit of gardening!

The relaxing spa session was a firm favourite, dressing up in a robe, slippers and a headband then enjoying a foot spa, face mask, and we didn't forget the cucumber on our eyes!

Who doesn't love a fun run? We run along the route, stopping at each station to put on an item which included glasses, wigs, socks, capes, gloves and hats!

We made sure to get some of our 5 a day in by making fresh fruit smoothies, we were able to practise our chopping skills then put it all in the blender and watch it go! They tasted great!

We got active and used our muscles in a body awareness session with our sensory processing co-ordinator.

The children across both sites had a lovely day, and we can't wait for the next power day!
